I am a highly experienced educator, instructional leader and educational consultant with over 20 years of experience as a teacher and principal across primary and secondary school settings as well as in senior leadership in state departmental roles. I bring deep expertise in evidence-based teaching, literacy, and system-wide school improvement.

As a principal, I have led the establishment of high-performing school communities whose work is grounded in rigorous, evidence-based learning frameworks. Most recently, I contributed to the design and delivery of major pedagogy and teaching quality initiatives. As a Principal in Residence at the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership, I led the development of the Academy’s literacy and numeracy pedagogy suites. This included the design and delivery of the Academy’s Literacy Pedagogy and Practice program for primary and secondary teachers and leaders, strengthening instructional expertise and leadership capability across the system.

Services

I partner with schools, networks and systems to to build knowledge of, and capacity to enact and systems to implement evidence-based teaching and learning frameworks such as the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 with fidelity.

Science of learning

I work with teachers and school leaders to deepen their knowledge and understanding of how students learn and build capacity to translate this understanding across teaching practices, school systems and processes

Primary and secondary literacy

I work with both primary and secondary schools to implement effective, evidence-informed literacy practices, routines and structures across learning domains

Leadership and implementation

I work with leadership teams to build knowledge of, and capacity to authentically lead the implementation of evidence-informed practices sequentially and sustainably

Content development and management

I work with a range of educational institutions to develop, refine and review content aimed at educators
