I am a highly experienced educator, instructional leader and educational consultant with more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and principal across primary and secondary school settings as well as in senior roles with the Victorian Department of Education. I bring deep expertise in evidence-based teaching, literacy, and system-wide school improvement.
As a principal, I have led the establishment of high-performing school communities whose work is grounded in rigorous, evidence-based learning frameworks. I have also contributed to the design and delivery of major pedagogy and teaching quality initiatives, including as a Principal in Residence at the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership where I led the development of the Academy’s literacy and numeracy suites. This included the design and delivery of the Academy’s Literacy Pedagogy and Practice program for primary and secondary teachers and leaders, strengthening instructional expertise and leadership capability across the system.
